On Saturday my wife and I had a nice three hour drive up to Eugene for Oregon's game with Utah State University before a crowd of 58,000 on a sunny day. We left Medford about 8:15 am and got to Eugene and parked on the Campus side of the Willamette River at an office park behind the New Oregon Motel on Franklin Blvd. We met a Medford friend who had been on a trip to Seattle and had taken Amtrak back to Eugene. His wife was going to meet him in Eugene, watch the game and drive him back to Medford. However, she was unable to make it so we met him in Eugene at the parking lot and put his luggage in our trunk and then went to the game. After the game we had a pleasant trip back to Medford and got back before dark. On the trip home it was fun talking to someone who loves college football as much as I do. We even talked a little politics. All in all a good day for college football. On to Purdue! Go Ducks!
