Sequester in perspective

Lawrence Kudlow of CNBC:
The Obama administration is whipping up hysteria over the sequester budget cuts and their impact on the economy, the military, first providers, and so forth and so on. Armageddon. But if you climb into the Congressional Budget Office numbers for 2013, you see a much lighter and easier picture than all the worst-case scenarios being conjured up by the administration......
In other words, lower spending and limited government are the exact right medicine for free-market prosperity. The sequester cuts are pro-growth. Finish the job, please.

Sequester WAS Obama's Idea!!!!

CHRIS WALLACE, "FOX NEWS SUNDAY" HOST: Bob, as the man who literally wrote the book about the budget battle, put this to rest. Whose idea was the sequester, and did you ever think that we'd actually get to this point?

BOB WOODWARD: First, it was the White House. It was Obama and Jack Lew and Rob Nabors who went to the Democratic Leader in the Senate, Harry Reid, and said, 'this is the solution.' But everyone has their fingerprints on this. (FOX News Sunday, February 17, 2013)

And now he has ownership of it!

Movie: "Trouble With the Curve" *****

 According to Wikipedia:

Trouble with the Curve is a 2012 sports-drama film starring Clint Eastwood, Amy Adams, Justin Timberlake, Matthew Lillard, and John Goodman. The film revolves around an aging baseball scout whose daughter( a hard charging take no prisoners lawyer)  joins him on a scouting trip.

I have watched this move twice now, with my Netflix copy, and love the movie.  I am not a fan of baseball but I am a fan of this movie.  I liked another baseball movie, "Moneyball"(2011), but; "Trouble With the Curve" takes the direct opposite approach to professional baseball evaluation and drafting of players.  However, this movie is more about the coming to terms between an aging father and his adult daughter. Without giving anything away the opening scene of an old Clint Eastwood" in the bathroom after waking up won me over. Eastwood is his usual cranky self.  A persona he perfected in "Grand Toreno" (2008) but the big surprise for me is Amy Adams and of all people Justin Timberlake.  They are great together. The scene between them in a drinking baseball trivia game is magical. John Goodman is just right as Eastwoods long time boss and friend. They don't make many movies like this anymore and it is too bad.  Do yourself a favor by seeing this movie.

He will not be a silent newcomer and has come to D.C. with the support of the "Tea Party" and the Main Stream Media is already attempting to demonize him but it will not work. The MSM likes to marginalise those supported by the "Tea Party"  as unintellectual "Know Nothings" who are just short of barbarians.  Not, TED CRUZ.
