The Pac-10 is throwing its biggest party of the season this weekend, and the big news is USC isn't invited.
In Autzen Stadium's first 41 seasons, it never hosted a matchup of top-10 teams. Now it's doing it on consecutive weekends.
The last time the Pac-10 featured a marquee matchup between top-10 teams? Top-ranked USC versus No. 7 California in 2004.
The last time the conference featured a marquee matchup between top-10 teams that didn't include USC? No. 7 UCLA versus No. 10 Washington in 2001. The Huskies were bludgeoned 35-13 that day -- the Bruins outrushed them 325 to minus-8 -- but at least they spent the entire season nationally ranked.
