Tonight my wife and I, after work, went to Tinseltown here in Medford to watch the new movie "State of Play". The movie is a political thriller reminiscent of those types of movies from the 1970's. I liked it a lot. The movie deals with the death of a congressional staffer for a United States Congressman. Much of the movie was filmed in Washington DC and deals with a reporter (Russell Crowe)for a Washington Newspaper (read Washington Post) who along with a female blogger for the newspaper attempt to solve the crime and and end up in a world of political intrigue. The best part of the movie deals with the world of Newspapers and their role in society. Read a review from National Review Online, by clicking on the title for a link, that gets it about right. We both liked the movie and recommend it.
