Republicans win the house with a 65 seat take a-way from the Democrats. Last week before the election David Broder the "Dean" of Washington DC correspondents said that if the Republicans "reach double digits" in the number of their majority in the US House "Republicans will have done very well" Double digits is 10. The Republican majority after the election is at least 25.... very well indeed... it was a tidal wave. In the wilderness no more.
For the record Broder predicted the Republican majority would "be minuscule" and "more likely John Boehner will be elected speaker by a handful of votes" So much for the liberal press.
