From the Weekly Standards Blog about President Obama speaking to school students across America.
Don't say you weren't warned. When Obama appears simultaneously in every class room around the country to tell students about...what? The smears and lies his opponents are spreading about health care reform? The right-wing mob that's trying to destroy his presidency? The illegal Israeli settlements that prevent peace between the Jews and Iranian-backed terror groups? Who knows, but the children will be asked "to write letters to themselves about what they can do to help President Obama," and those letters will be "collected and redistributed at an appropriate later date by the teacher to make students accountable to their goals." Presumably, any students who don't play along will have their names flagged and sent to the White House for further investigation. "It essentially tries to force kids to say the president and the presidency is inspiring," Neal McCluskey, associate director of Cato Institute's Center for Educational Freedom, tells Fox. Of course, Obama is inspiring -- he's gonna spread happiness and freedom, what could be more inspiring then that?
Is this creepy or is this creepy!
