We always knew Newt Gingrich was a loose cannon but this takes the cake. On Sunday, Newt contradicted his past support for Representative Paul Ryan's Medicare plan and attacked it on on Meet the Press and also took shots at the Republicans in the House with this statement:
"I don't think right-wing social engineering is any more desirable than left-wing social engineering. I don't think imposing radical change from the right or the left is a very good way for a free society to operate."I agree with Congressman Ryan who said today: "With allies like that, who needs the left?"
It's one thing to take a principled stand on an issue. It's another to contradict yourself and take a shot at fellow Republicans. Newt is always a disaster waiting to happen. Self destruction is not pretty sight.
Charles Krauthammer told FOX NEWS, Bret Baier, that Gingrich “didn’t have a big chance from the beginning, but now it’s over.”
