Obama Administration....Strike three.........

1. Nancy Killefer, who failed for a year and a half to pay employment taxes on household help, has withdrawn her candidacy to be the first chief performance officer for the federal government, the White House said Tuesday.

2 Tom Daschle , former Democrat Senator, has withdrawn his nomination to be Health and Human Services secretary. Daschle has been battling for his nomination since it was disclosed he failed to pay more than $120,000 in taxes.

2. Bill Richardson , Governor of New Mexico, has withdrawn his name from consideration as commerce secretary for President-elect Barack Obama, citing a criminal grand jury investigation in New Mexico currently looking into charges of "pay-to-play" in the awarding of a state contract to a company that contributed to Richardson.

Of course this does not include Timoth Geithner who was confirmed as Treasury Secretary who failed to pay his self employment taxes for the work he did for the International Monetary Fund. Treasury Secretary is the head of the IRS making the "I forgot" defense available to anyone who is caught not paying their taxes.
